Since the launch of SERS program in 1995, only 4% of HDB flats have been identified for SERS and the government will continue to maintain the strict selection criteria for HDB blocks eligible for SERS.
National Development Minister Lawrence Wong has cautioned HDB owners not to assume that all old Housing Board flats will be automatically eligible for the SERS. Which means that when the lease of your HDB flat expires, the value of your HDB home becomes ZERO!
